Support Outreach Services:
Alexandra Neighbourhood House provides 1-to-1 support for referred
families facing parenting and family life challenges. Staff
assist parents in developing skills, confidence and knowledge to
support them in their journey as parents.

Alexandra Family Place:
Alexandra
Family Place Drop In is a program for parents and caregivers with
children
birth – 6 years. It is a wonderful opportunity for
you to connect with other parents and caregivers. Parenting information
on positive discipline and parent support is always available. The
Drop-in program provides children and their families to explore,
create, imagine, move and PLAY!
When: Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10-12:30
(From September to June excluding statutory holidays)
Why: Parenting
young children can be an amazing experience but can also have some
challenges and questions. Alexandra Family Place Drop-in is an opportunity
to connect with other families, learn and experience with your child
and to also connect with other families. Guest speakers are also scheduled
from time to time on various topics of interest to families.
The cost
is $4 per family per visit. For more information contact the Early

Mommy and Me” is a group for Moms with babies under a year. The adjustment to being a parent is a significant life change. It is filled with many joys, wonders and also some challenges, and questions. Mommy and me is a group that meets to provide some connection to community in every sense of the word as well as information on parenting and Motherhood. Topics covered include attachment, child development, healthy moms healthy babies, and self-care. We also have a Mommy & Baby sing song time as a part of each session. The group meets once a week for 6 weeks and cost is $42.
“Daddy and Me” is a group for Daddies and their little ones from birth to 4 years. Dads are very important and crucial people in their children’s lives. Daddy and me offers Dads the opportunity to learn and have fun with their children in an interactive song and story time. Parent information will also be available on child development, parenting and attachment. The group meets once a week for 6 weeks and cost is $30. Parent Child
Mother Goose:
The Parent Child Mother Goose program is a 10 week group experience
for parents and their young children focusing on the pleasure and
power of using rhymes, songs and stories together. The program focuses
on nurturing the attachment and bond that is growing between the
parent and child. The parents are supported in gaining skills and
confidence, which can enable them to create new and positive family
patterns during the early years of their children. Once a parent
and child have done a total of 30 weeks they graduate from the program
with a song kit that they can use together in their day to day lives.

Parenting Your Toddler
The toddler years can be a wonderful time of exciting growth and
learning, but they can also be challenging! This interactive program
for parents and caregivers of children 8 mos to 3 years addresses
child development, temperament, emotional literacy, and discussion

Pregnant and parenting teen and young parent program. Support, connection,
education and community resource information is offered to pregnant
and parenting youth. 1-1 or group services available. Summer drop-in
