WHAT'S COMING UP ...
The 2010 Alexandra Festival will be held on Saturday May 29th. Mark your
calendars and join us for a day of fun, music, activities, prizes and world-class
crafters and artisans. This is a day to celebrate community! If you would

Introducing…Positively Parenting
Your Toddler
The toddler years can be a wonderful time of exciting growth, learning
and discovery. It
can also be a time of challenge for parents and caregivers. Positive
Parenting is an interactive six-week
program for parents with children aged eight months to three years, in
which you will learn about child development, temperament and emotional
literacy, and acquire strategies to promote positive behavior
in your little ones. For more information about this FREE program
(space is limited) contact Cindi at 604-538-5060 ext 23. The next
group offering is Mondays April 12-May 17, 2010 from 10am-12pm
at Camp Alexandra, 2916 McBride Avenue. Pre-registration is required.
Karma Kids Yoga
This exciting new program offered by Marita at Sol Yoga is currently
full. If you are interested in this program and did not have the
chance to register, please contact Erin at (604) 538-5060 ext 23
as a program interest list and waitlist are being taken. Should
the program run again in the future I would be more than happy to contact
interested individuals.
Kids Club Special Guest
Kids Club welcomes special guest Rebecca Kool on February
16th at 3:30pm! Rebecca has recently published the wonderful and
interactive children’s book Fly Catcher Boy. The book,
which was originally written for the Japanese market, combines English
with Japanese characters to tell a unique story. Rebecca will be
sharing her book with children and their families in the Children’s
House. It is sure to be a memorable experience so please feel free
to join us!
Building Welcoming and Inclusive Neighbourhoods - What's that? CBCS is pleased to be participating in this three year project, and we are inviting anyone who is interested in volunteering on our Steering Committee to give us a call at 604-535-0015 ext 238. Click here for more information.

Camp A invites the community to form an Intergenerational Gardening Club with a twist of mentoring and sharing of gardening tips and ideas! Or how about baking with grandparents?
